Since People in Business started in 1989, we have endeavoured to bring rigour, imagination and a strong sense of partnership to our work with clients. As Joseph Schumpeter observed, success in business should amount to more than counting coins, it should also be a romance and an adventure. While it pays not to lose sight of the coins, people who enjoy our company, as much as the benefit of our services, tend to share a similar outlook. We are involved in three main activities:  (1) Consulting  Clients buy our expertise in research, communication and brand development. The buy our ability to bring an informed and independent external perspective, and the experience to make it count. While our projects are often delivered in weeks, most of our client relationships have lasted for years. Over two thirds of our work is repeat business. You will find more detail on our consulting work in 'Services' and 'Case Studies'. If you would like a more personal introduction to PiB, we'd be happy to oblige.  (2) Collaboration  We constantly seek out the latest ideas and practices in our chosen field. It's what enables us to bring the most up-to-date thinking to the table when working with our clients. We organise and participate in best practice forums and research. We provide avenues (like employerbrand.com) for others to publish their views. We share our knowledge and experience through our own books and articles.
